On the other hand, I can think of several games where a father is the main character, such as God of War and The Last of Us. Luckily, developer Attu Games is here to change that. Scarlet Deer Inn follows the story of Elise, a mother of two. She, by all accounts, is an ordinary mother. Bards are not singing tales of her trials and tribulations. However, her circumstances will change, leading to a path full of extraordinary situations. Elise will meet a colorful cast of characters, delve into deep dungeons, and face monsters head-on. Elise seems to have more on her plate than she ever bargained for. With her trusty torch by her side, there is nothing she cannot overcome.

When I first heard about Scarlet Deer Inn, I immediately went to the FAQ page on Steam. I have recently tried embroidery, and the idea that it could be used as an art style in a video game fascinated me. The art shared so far is beautiful, and the fact that Attu Games is a two-person team amazes me. This husband and wife team has independently done everything from the artwork and music to the programming. When this title is released, it will be a gem within the gaming community. While not much information surrounds this game yet, I wholeheartedly believe it will become a staple for most indie gamers. Ultimately, I look forward to more news about Scarlet Deer Inn in the coming year.
