Exciting news for Bluey fans! The beloved animated series, featuring the adventures of the Heeler family, will be premiering new episodes on Disney+ starting from January 12th, 2024. If you haven’t heard about my family’s love for Bluey, let me assure you, we are huge fans!

The upcoming ten episodes, technically considered as part of Season 3, promises to deliver more heartwarming and entertaining stories for both kids and adults. Let’s take a sneak peek at some of the new episodes that will be available:

  1. Cubby: In this episode, Bluey and Bingo embark on a mission to build a very special cubby for their beloved stuffed toy, Kimjim. As their creation slowly grows out of control, the cubby takes over the entire living room, leading to hilarious and imaginative playtime. For those unfamiliar with the term, “cubby” refers to a small room or playhouse.
  2. Exercise: Bingo takes center stage in this episode as she pretends to be Boss Bluey’s new employee during Dad’s backyard workout session. However, this particular episode caused some controversy due to concerns about body image and weight loss promotion. As a result, the opening scene featuring Bandit getting on the scale and grabbing some fat around his stomach has been edited out. This episode now runs for six minutes.
  3. Relax: Bluey and Bingo, always full of energy, find it difficult to simply relax on the beach during their holiday. Instead, they choose to explore their holiday hotel room, leading to unexpected adventures and relatable moments for parents who understand the struggle of unwinding even on vacation. I personally loved this episode because it really showcases how hard it is as a mom to relax even on vacation.
  4. Stickbird: Join Bluey, Bingo, Mum, and Dad on a trip to the beach where Mum teaches Bluey how to throw while Bingo and Dad get creative with a funny-shaped stick. This episode serves as a not-quite-continuation of the previous episode, “Relax,” offering a delightful follow-up to the family’s holiday adventures.
  5. Show and Tell: Bluey’s curiosity is piqued when she questions why Dad always seems to be bossing her around, especially after he tells her to finish her breakfast. This leads to an important lesson about authority, responsibility, and understanding boundaries. Interestingly, this is not the first time this lesson has been brought up in the series. The topic was previously explored in the episode “Tina.”
  6. Dragon: Bluey seeks Dad’s assistance in drawing a dragon for her story, revealing a heartwarming moment about Chili’s mom. We learn that Chili’s mom passed away years before the episode, creating a touching memory scene as Bluey tries to understand who the woman is. This episode showcases the Heeler family’s artistic talents and the deep bonds they share.
  7. Wild Girls: Coco, full of enthusiasm, wants to play Wild Girls with Indy, but Chloe has other game preferences. This episode offers valuable lessons for children about adaptability, compromise, and asserting oneself. Two memorable quotes from this episode are “Games can change” and “Indy is in charge of Indy,” highlighting the importance of flexibility and self-empowerment.
  8. TV Shop: Bluey and Bingo find themselves in a pharmacy, where they have fun playing with the CCTV screens. This episode introduces us to the Terrier’s mom for the first time, sparking discussions among Bluey enthusiasts about a potential romantic connection between the Terrier’s mom and Winton’s dad. Additionally, keep an eye out for some humorous details, such as the parents’ license plates, that add an extra layer of fun to the episode.
  9. Slide: Bingo and her friend Lila are excited to try out their new waterslide. However, before sliding down, they must ensure they don’t accidentally squish any bugs. Interestingly, this episode marks the first time that Bluey is neither present nor mentioned, allowing the focus to shift to Bingo’s independent adventures.
  10. Cricket: Join the dads in a friendly game of neighborhood cricket as they struggle to bowl out Rusty. This episode not only showcases the dads’ cricket skills but also highlights Rusty’s hero journey and improvement with the cricket bat. Additionally, we are introduced to Rusty’s siblings: Dusty, Digger, and Tiny. It’s worth noting that “Cricket” currently shares the highest IMDb rating with the episode “Sleepytime.”

But wait, there’s more! Three additional Bluey episodes are set to be released later this year, and here’s what we know about them so far:

  • The Sign: Brace yourself for the longest Bluey episode to date, clocking in at an impressive 28 minutes. According to the show’s staff, “The Sign” promises lots of laughter, exciting guest voices, and even a few tears. The anticipation is building as we eagerly await this very special episode, which holds the promise of memorable moments with our favorite Bluey characters. A teaser trailer has already provided a glimpse of a sad Bluey in Calypso’s class, surrounded by gasps from her friends. The official Bluey.tv blog post offers further insights and intriguing scenes involving Bluey, Bandit, Bingo, Chilli, and more.
  • Ghost Basket: Prepare for an episode that includes all the Grannies. This will be the second time we see the Grannies together, following their first appearance in the episode “Granny Mobile,” where Grumpy Granny was introduced. Get ready for heartwarming moments as the Grannies bring their unique charm to the screen again.
  • Surprise: While little is known about this episode, fans have been buzzing with speculation and rumors. Some suggest that the Heeler family might grow older or that someone could be selling their home. Leaked footage from India’s Disney Channel has only added to the excitement and intrigue, leaving us eagerly anticipating what surprises lie ahead for the Heelers and the future of the Bluey television show.

Make sure to mark your calendars for the release of these new Bluey episodes on Disney+. It’s going to be a delightful journey filled with laughter, life lessons, and heartwarming moments for the whole family to enjoy!
