We have had some hit movies this year. There was Maverick, The Batman, Turning Red, and Nope, to name a few. So why shouldn’t we end the year with another smash hit? I think the box office industry is trying to do just that. Here are some that I found:
First, the much desired and anticipated sequel to the mega-hit Avatar (2009), Avatar: The Way of Water, comes out on December 16th of this year. Stars from the first ones who are reprising their roles are Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, and Sigourney Weaver as Dr. Grace Augustine/Kiri. In addition, Kate Winslet as Ronal is new to the roster, along with Bailey Bass as Tsireya.
Next, for the kids, you might try Mavka The Forest Song. It premiers on December 29th, 2022. It looks adorable. It is an animated movie, and I love those.
The Mindcage comes out on December 16th this year. It is a murder mystery starring Martin Lawrence as Det. Jake Doyle and John Malkovich as The Artist. It looks intense, and I want to see it. Women are being murdered and made to look like beautiful scriptures. The detectives on the case ask The Artist for help.
I am sure fans of Whitney Huston are excitedly waiting for I Wanna Dance With Somebody to hit theaters on December 21st, just before Christmas. It is the story of Whitney Huston’s life. It stars Tamara Tunie and Stanley Tucci (I love both of them). And Naomi Ackie as Whitney Huston.
Finally, we have Savage Salvation is a movie I haven’t seen anything of until today. It comes out on December 2nd, 2022. It looks awesome. It stars Robert De Niro as Sheriff Church, Jack Huston as Shelby John, John Malcovich as Peter, and Willa Fitzgerald as Ruby Red. Shelby John and Ruby Red both got engaged and clean. But, unfortunately, Ruby relapsed, and the murderous rage Shelby felt is life-altering.
