Ace Comic Con Hits the Arizona Desert

Ace Comic Con will be held in beautiful, and unnaturally warm, Glendale, Arizona on January 12th through the 14th, 2018. In the midst of creative cosplayers and charming celebrities, I will be trekking forth to get in on the action.

For most fans the most exciting part will be meeting guests such as Chris Evans (Captain America), Stan Lee (the father of comic books), and Tom Holland (Spider-Man Homecoming). Fans interested in the creation process of their favorite comics and movies will be delighted to know that there will be over 50 writers and artists at the event throughout the three days of festivities. There will be fans stoked to hear there will be appearances from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), including Sting (the WWE hall of famer), Torrie Wilson (retired wrestler for both WWE and WCW), as well as the producer for WWE and WCW, Eric Bischoff.

The Ace Comic Con website boasts immersive panels such as a Captain American Q&A, ICONS: Todd McFarlane (in which he will discuss the revival of Spawn) and Black Panther: Evolution. In my opinion, one of the best part of any event is seeing the ingenious and crafty cosplays. Those with a creative side can also join in the Ace Cosplay Contest.

Ace Comic Con lovers coming on Saturday will also enjoy a free set performed by local Arizona band Cheap Hotels. Those interested in shaking their groove thang should be at the second stage promptly at 7:00pm.

Overall, my favorite part of going to any event is interacting with vendors and learning more about their craft. It appears at the Ace Comic Con I will not be in short, of individuals to converse with because there will be over 90 vendors. In the end, Ace Comic Con has a little something for everyone and I look forward to seeing what it has to offer.

The event will be held at the Gila River Arena and the fun begins at noon on Saturday.
