In honor of the U.S. elections last Tuesday, “Drunk History” replayed some of their greatest political episode hits. With fan fave Steve Berg in tow, Derek Waters and company showed us the pitfalls of presidency and power. The highlights:
-The election of 1800, which had as much mudslinging between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson as the election of 2016 did
-A profile of Abraham Lincoln, small-time lawyer. He was called “ape-like” by Edwin Stanton…his future Secretary of War
-The subterfuge of First Lady Edith Wilson; she ran the country for several months when Woodrow Wilson had a stroke
Even if your candidate didn’t win, at least we had “Drunk History” to laugh through our tears. Join our livetweet on Wednesday when the next drunken narrators tackle landmarks.
