With Rick Famuyiwa dropping out of the upcoming Flash film due to “creative differences” WB is now back on the hunt for someone to helm the project. Who should the studio look at to help get this film back on its feet and delivers us a great Flash film?

Desiree Akhavan

Akhavan made her direct debut with the critically acclaimed film, Appropriate Behaviour. She has proven herself to be a talented filmmaker as well as a writer. She may not be universally known or have experience with large tentpole films but I feel she would bring something very special to the DC film universe.

Jonathan Levine

Levine is a comedy genius and has a habit of making films with impressive visuals, good soundtracks, and a catching storyline. Everything that would be welcomed in a Flash film. His film 50/50 and The Night Before shows he can write both funny and very real characters in a very natural way.

Robert Rodriguez

Rodriguez is a veteran filmmaker who is long overdue for a comeback and a comic book film. His latest films haven’t been his best work but if given this type of project there is no doubt he would knock it out of the park. Rodriguez is a kid at heart with a love for special effect and humour which make shim a great candidate.
