Yes, the holiday season is ramping up! Every triple-A studio is preparing to launch their newest version of the same game. Releasing the same things year after year. But what about the innovators? What about the smaller guys trying something new or making ideas all on their own? Well here is a list of the new games out this November that I’m excited to see that might not get big advertisements.
Tavern Keeper
Coming down the pipeline first we have Tavern Keeper. In this game players can design their own fantasy tavern from the ground up. It will be crucial to properly manage the tavern’s staff, supplies, clientele, and cleanliness. Each of which will be unruly and prone to twists of fate. For you see, this game also includes a fully realized story that will take your tavern across an amazing world! For fans of management sims this looks like it will be a ball of fun light fantasy humor. Look for it coming early in the month on November 3rd.
Dead Static Drive
Next up we have Dead Static Drive. This game looks like it has all the aesthetics. It stylizes itself as a 1980s Lovecraftian survival horror game. As you travel along this cursed version of America, mysteries will reveal themselves. This looks like a great game for the occultist detective fans. Look for it to drop November 5th.
The Last Caretaker
Another fun take on the survival genre, The Last Caretaker adds more consequences. With a vast world to explore and lots of diverse elements to craft along the way including tools, vehicles, and base components! For those that love an atmospheric style of story telling along with their homestead building, this is for you. Check it out on November 6th.
Ambrosia Sky
Mysteries in abandoned places continue in Ambrosia Sky. A new immersive sim about a colony in deep space that has been overrun by alien fungus. Combining soothing cleaning gameplay with an unsettling atmosphere, Ambrosia Sky displays a new take on the zen gameplay genre. Act one of this story comes out November 10th, with two more acts coming next year.
Demonschool
Demonschool is an isometric turn-based strategy game with stunning art and animation. Branching stories, balancing a school life, and a host of weird enemies makes this game a fascinating take. Seems this style of game has largely vanished since the height of the handheld era. I, for one, am excited to try a new era of isometric strategy games. See me bashing weirdos and demons on November 19th.
Neon Inferno
As someone who grew up playing lots of Metal Slug and loving 80s action movies, I love the look of Neon Inferno. This absolute blast of a game shows off snappy dynamic gameplay, taking a new twist on the classic gameplay. It adds in a gallery-shooter aspect in order to keep players engaged. There is a wide array of weapons and upgrades across two characters that also take a turn on the genre. Bullet time and deflection along with vehicles look amazing and fun. Action packed, neon styled, and bombastic animation ensures this will be a thrill ride to bring me back to my quarter pumping arcade days. Watch out for your chance to clean the crime of the cyberpunk streets of near future New York City on Nov 20th.
