Comic fans and creators will converge at the Seattle Convention Center from March 14th-17th as Mad Cave Studios, the innovative independent publisher, presents an extensive lineup of signings, panels, and exclusive merchandise at Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) 2025.
Established in 2014, Mad Cave Studios has earned recognition for its diverse storytelling across multiple imprints, including Maverick, Papercutz, and Nakama Press, offering everything from young adult content to global adventures. Visitors to Booth #20707 will have the opportunity to meet an impressive roster of creators and get first looks at upcoming projects.
The convention kicks off with a powerful Thursday schedule on March 6th:
Beginning at 12:15 PM, the “Keep Bans Off Our Books” panel features Lilah Sturges (Student Government) in Room 343, followed by a signing session at 1:15 PM. The afternoon continues with “Drawing From Life: Authentic YA Stories In Every Genre” at 3:45 PM in Room 345, featuring Jasmine Walls, Dave Justus, Richard Ashley Hamilton, Joe Corallo, and Olivia Cuartero-Briggs. The day concludes with “Meet Maverick’s Authors!” from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.
Friday’s schedule is packed with creator appearances:
- 11:00 AM: Olivia Cuartero-Briggs signs copies of “Kill Train”
- 12:00 PM: Spring Horror Preview with Chris Condon & Justin Richards
- 1:00 PM: Pierre-Alexandre Comtois conducts a signing and live drawing session for “Sunder”
- 2:00 PM: “Student Government” signing with Lilah Sturges, Dave Justus, and Joe Eisma
- 4:00 PM: Fred Van Lente signs “Murder Kingdom”
- 4:30 PM: Oliver Bly meets fans of “The Mushroom Knight”
- 5:00 PM: Zack Kaplan closes the day signing “Dark Empty Void”
Saturday’s highlights include:
- 12:00 PM: Shane Connery Volk signing session for “Nottingham” and “Prairie Gods”

- 2:15 PM: “Dynamic Frames: How Animators Create Captivating Comics” panel in Room 345

- 5:15 PM: “Into the Dark: Horror & Fantasy With Mad Cave Studios” panel featuring multiple creators
The convention concludes on Sunday with special family-friendly programming:
- 11:00 AM: “Lava or Licorice LIVE with Digital Lizards of Doom!” in Family HQ (Room 424)
- 12:00 PM: Meet and greet with the Digital Lizards of Doom team
Exclusive merchandise will be available throughout the convention, including a special variant cover of “Gatchaman: Only One Earth #1” by Chris Batista.
