Fortnite Reload is one of the most widely-played modes Epic has brought to the game. The mode introduces a new set of battle royale where respawning is an option from the beginning, and every time you die, you have the chance to take your revenge.

Reload was first proposed in Chapter 5 Season 3, and was only playable in duos and squads. The game features a 40-player fight in a totally new map with nine POIs, inspired by the Chapter 2 map with some of its iconic spots such as Tilted Towers, and as long as a minimum of one player of your teams is alive, you have the reboot option to come back to the game when eliminated. If the last player dies, the whole squad is wiped out and returned to the lobby. At a certain time, the game announces a 90-second countdown for final respawns, after which the reboots are disabled.

Starting Chapter 2 Remix, Fortnite eventually launched the highly-anticipated Reload Solo mode. The mode allows you to play on a larger, deserted map called Oasis, with more POIs and new items.

Epic Games initially announced that the concept of Reload Solos would be based on having only one reboot card when jumping off the battle bus, with each elimination earning players an extra respawn slot, up to a maximum of three. However, the actually gameplay is different.

Playing on Solos is now based on having only two reboots at the beginning of the game. On the top-left of your screen, you will see the remaining respawn chances, and eliminations no longer increase the number of reboots. When the reboots are closed, each extra life converts into 50 non-regenerative Overshield, up to 100. In Zero Build, this Overshield is in addition to the original 50 regenerative Overshield.

Since Chapter 2 has returned in the battle royale mode, Fortnite has decided to vault some guns and presented new weapons for the Reload mode. Here is the list of the best weapons to secure a victory royale:

  • Striker Pump Shotgun: This can be a top choice when it comes to shotguns. It’s a very powerful weapon with 101 damage in the rare version and an enough magazine of five bullets. If you are a competitive player that can one-pump others, this has to be in your inventory.
  • Maven Auto Shotgun: The weapon doesn’t offer the one-pump potential and deals much less damage than Striker Pump, but it owns 6 ammo in its slots and fires bullets way faster. If you are surrounded by multiple players, this gun could save your life.
  • Hammer Assault Rifle: It was added in the first version of Reload and is still an extremely solid AR in the game. The magazine capacity of 20 ammo might be limiting, but its very low recoil and great damage make it a must-use AR.
  • Flapjack Rifle: Although the name is rifle, it actually uses AR ammo. The weapon holds 45 bullets, making it very effective in battles, and similar to Hammer AR, it doesn’t have noticeable recoil. However, it deals slightly less damage than Hammer AR, and the reload time of 3.5 seconds is its disadvantage.
  • Twin Mag SMG: This weapon is undoubtedly the most powerful SMG available. Having a double magazine and quickly reloading (only 1.3 seconds) during intense fights make the gun a lethal. The only downfall is the magazine size of 20 bullets since SMGs shoot very fast and it’s important to make every shot count.
  • Stinger SMG: The gun was added previously to the game and is still a solid SMG to put in your slots. In comparison with Twin Mag, it has larger magazine size, but its epic rarity deals the same amount of damage as Twin Mag’s rare version.
  • Suppressed Sniper Rifle: How can we not let an empty spot for a sniper? The Suppressed Sniper is an OG gun and is an ideal choice to head-shot snipe others, especially in Zero Build as it’s not simple to find a decent cover.
