A few weeks after the announcement of the PS5 Pro, alongside the recent nostalgic PS1 bundle for the console, Sony is back, this time with a host of new surprises. State of Play 2024 presented multiple trailers of upcoming popular games from the PlayStation universe, thrilling players who have been waiting for these releases for a long time. Let’s take a look at all the titles announced:
Astro Bot DLC
The very likely Game of the Year is now featuring a free add-on DLC to its title. Astro Bot, a game that has received tons of positive feedback from reviewers, is going to expand its content, bringing new missions, characters to find and rescue, and more for its countless players. The expansion will be available exclusively to PS5 players this fall, and they can update the game to enjoy the free additions.

Sonic x Shadow Generations DLC
Sonic is now in a new form, presenting new abilities and skills. The new expansion of Sonic x Shadow Generations, which follows the events of the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie, voiced by lovely Keanu Reeves, launches on 12 December, 2024.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
As fans desired to see, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is coming to PS5 and PC on 31st October, 2024. The game features the same visual fidelity as Horizon Forbidden West, delivering high-quality environments, machines, and characters. One particular advancement is the change in character communications, as from now on, the static, robotic facial expressions will be replaced by natural reactions, just like what Guerrilla Games created for the sequel. Players who purchased the PS4 version can upgrade to PS5 for only $9.99.
Also, LEGO Horizon Adventures is launching on November 14, 2024, bringing Aloy and her allies into the machine-driven world of LEGO.

Alan Wake 2 DLC
As Halloween approaches, it’s the perfect time to face a new DLC from the horror game, Alan Wake 2. The second expansion, The Lake House, sets the story on the shores of Cauldron Lake, where secret experiments are being conducted. However, something is going to cause the rise of darkness. The package is releasing in October.

LEGO Fortnite New Mode
Fortnite LEGO has been an interesting addition to this popular Battle Royale. The mode brings all elements of the LEGO world, matching with all the skins you already own. Gather items, build shelter, fight monsters, and try to survive while having fun with your LEGO squad. The new mode supports split-screen gameplay, allowing two players to play on different accounts, similar to the original Battle Royale mode.

Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom also joined State of Play with a new impressive trailer of the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds, showcasing White Fury as one of the creatures. The game will be arrived on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series on 28 February, 2025.

Ghost of Yōtei
Undoubtedly, the most exciting part of State of Play belonged to the last trailer, Ghost of Yōtei. Just as the show was about to reach its end, a scene showed up, presenting the stunning world of Ghost of Tsushima. However, there is a significant variation, as there is no sign of our previous hero, Jin Sakai, and this time, a new character, Atsu, takes the lead. Based on the timeline, the game is set around 300 years after the original game, but surely more details about the story will be unfolded in the future.
