Dead City didn’t have a lot of new information to dish up sadly, they seem to still be filming season 2. Season 2 does not have an official start date; it is just in 2025. The press room doesn’t even have any season 2 photos loaded so they must still be pretty early in the process.
During the panel the few tidbits we were able to gather were
- We will encounter new people or perhaps a new group.
- A fight will happen over ethanol as people learn that energy, heat, etc. is still possible.
- Negan is bringing back the famous whistle.
- Negan will have followers again.
- Jeffrey and Lauren are vice producers on the show so they look at things from more sides now and it is helping them tell the story.
Meanwhile, the very short teaser, as I wouldn’t call it a trailer, had maybe a minute of content. Those small talking points include
- Negan has followers again, and Lucille is making a return, along with the famous whistle.
- We see what we heard about in the panel all sorts of fights are happening for ethanol.
- Maggie has had a flip-flop of intention, she originally wanted Negan to die, but now she returned to try to save him.
- We get to see Maggie and Negan face to face but the teaser doesn’t have any dialog.
