For a clan that is built for the hunt, the predator species, yautja, hish-qu-ten, call them what you want, wants to claim the best prey. Their tight code of honor leads them to seek out the best warriors all over the universe to climb the social status of their kind.  This has put them on a collision course with militant-like humans and dangerous xenomorphs. Each fight has been bitter and harsh and tests the might of the predators that are a part of the collision. In fact, that need to hunt to rise up the social ladder, has put the predator species in other universes in terms of crossovers. The predators have hunted down Batman, Superman, the Justice League, Xenomorphs themselves, Wolverine. and other Marvel characters.  But why should the yautja stop there?  There are plenty of other monsters, soldiers, and tribes that will make great prey for Predator.

Rambo

Rambo will instantly gain the attention of Predator due to his tenacity and bloodlust. Granted, this will be very similar to the Dutch vs Predator fight in the first Predator film. But Rambo feels like he’s more at home, he’s more comfortable being in the mud, primitive, and bloodthirsty. Rambo is a one-man army. He relies on many things to get the job done. What we saw Dutch do, Rambo does it to a whole new level. Dutch resorted to mud camouflage and bow and arrow because that was the hand he was dealt. But that’s the game Rambo wants. Any weapon in the hands of Rambo is dangerous. Any terrain under Rambo’s boots could be weaponized. Rambo could be labeled a weapon himself. All things that make the Predator very interested in him. It could be a blurry mirror match in a way. Two different warriors that rely on various weapons, tactics, and terrain to hunt down their targets.  For Rambo, it could just be another target to kill, but for Predator it will be a legendary kill for him to claim.

Caesar

Caesar and his group of highly evolved apes will draw Predator in. The Predator films have shown that they are willing to collect the skulls of normal animals. Highly evolved, highly intellectual apes will make the predators even more invested in them. With their intelligence, basic knowledge of how to use weaponry as well as war tactics, and strength that surpasses a normal human being, the apes have the recipe to be a bitter match for any yautja coming to Earth for a worthy hunt. Although Caesar and the clan he rules over are peaceful, and may not be interesting for the Predator, not all are like that. Koba was an ape who was more than willing to kill humans to make his own species the dominant species. He was violent, cruel, and barbaric. A militant, so to speak.  That will get Predator’s attention. Or maybe Proximus who has the strength to be a leader. With knowledge of historical warfare, he could combine those weapons to take over other ape clans which could put him on a collision course with Predator. And of course, Creaser. Although he rules more benevolently, if his clan and his family are threatened, he could turn into a warrior. Caesar could resort to war tactics and use weaponry with hesitation. No matter if his enemies are humans or other apes, his tamed savagery could be a key factor in winning.  Something Predator needs to match or outdo.

Neytiri

The Na’vi are prey that the Predator needs to be very careful of because they are superior in physicality.  Bigger, taller, leaner, and have a skeletal structure that rivals the strength of metal.  At the same time, however, they are similar. Both are clans that are governed by a strict set of ethics and codes. They have a tremendous amount of respect for their craft. And are much more advanced than what meets the eye. Each clan relies on the hunt and sport for their own purposes. In addition, they have respect for what they hunt, and for what they have a relationship with. Of course, they have their differences in that aspect. Predators are much more aggressive while the Na’vi are peaceful. But at the end of the day, both are warrior clans that participate in hunting-like events to test their mantle and ascend in ranks. With the Na’vi’s dangerous physicality and unity, they could be a new form of xenomorphs for Predator. Within Predator lore, hunting Xenomorphs is a true test of a youngblood’s talent. Killing one quickly gets them respect and reputation. That could be claimed by killing a Na’vi. With the Na’vi, a predator could be a test as well. Predators are great hunters, trackers, and bushmen just like the Na’vi. The Na’vi rely on primitive weaponry with some twists. But at the same time, Predator has advanced weaponry much like the technology of the Sky People. So, fighting Predator could be a dangerous hybrid-like character for any Na’vi. A Predator uses the same tactics as a Na’vi but the weaponry of the Sky People. A clash of Predator and Na’vi is a mighty clash of two warriors, dedicated to their upbringing.

Indoraptor

The Indoraptor is a beast that has an animalistic tenacity that could prove the worth of any Predator.  The Indoraptor was actually created for a fight and for war. Due to genetic altercation, the Indorator has what it takes to be an animal, a creature that is a perfect weapon and a perfect hunting trophy. It has size which brings strength. Because it was bred for war, the Indoraptor has an intellect that surpasses some of the smartest animals in the world. Has an advanced sense of smell. Could see in the dark as if the night was the day. The Indoraptor is not a dinosaur, it’s a monster. Due to it having such an aggressive, monstrous reputation, and it being one of a kind at the least and rare at the most, any Predator will want the challenge to hunt it down, kill it, and take it for a trophy. Yet, the Indoraptor has many features to counter Predator. If the fight gets close and personal, the Indoraptor has more than what it needs to finish any Predator off. And because of its highly evolved sense of smell, it could be the one that gets the jump on Predator. It could also be plausible because it was designed for war, it could be able to control its body temperature to hide from enemy heat detection. So, the two main ways Predator tracks its target could be obsolete when it comes close to the Indoraptor. The field could be more leveled which could mean a brutal, savage, up-close fight between two monsters of the wild.

Prophet

Then, can Predator run through a crysis? Alcatraz/Prophet matches nearly everything Predator has stride for stride. This matchup is similar to the Predator’s fight against Dutch and possibly with Rambo’s, but Alcatraz/Prophet has much more firepower. Although he has ordinary weapons, with unique customizable access, he has the nanosuit. This suit gives him boosted strength, invisibility, armor, and different visions, much like another fighter. Alcatraz/Prophet are military trained and have experience with an extraterrestrial bent on destruction. Seeing Alcatraz/Prophet mow down terrestrial and extraterrestrial threats with ease will put him on Predator’s radar. Seeing him with all that firepower gives any Predator a rigorous fight which will make their killing of the enhanced soldier all the much better. This fight will be a clearer mirror match. Whatever Alcatraz/Prophet could throw, Predator could counter. Whatever Predator could throw, Alcatraz/Prophet could counter. With the inclusion of the hunter bow, Alcatraz/Prophet has his experience with a modern, high-tech weapon that was once primitive. Most of Predator’s arsenal is such weapons. It would be interesting to see how Predator adapts to a soldier who is mimicking his tactics. After all, the clan is built on the principle of adapting. It will also be interesting to see how well the nanosuit could withstand Predator’s more advanced weaponry. Can it deflect a shot from Predator’s shoulder canon? Can it withstand the Predator’s circular disk? The imagination for this match-up goes wild.

The yautja are formidable. Honorable. Ruthless. They seek out the best that the universe has to offer when it comes to dangerous prey. Earth seems to be a hotspot for them. By landing on Earth, any Predator could face any of these matchups. They will track it.  Hunt it. Kill it. It could be the kill that gives them the ranking they want. Or it could easily be the Predator’s last hunt.
