Big game development studios usually take years to produce new games.  That time is filled with marketing and hype, both coming from the studios and game review channels across social media.  However, these dates are rarely carved in stone, and a lot of games get delayed, even with the biggest development studios behind them.

For players who don’t like to wait for the games to get stuck in production hell, there are always anonymous casinos with no KYC regulations that can be easily accessed and played with nothing but your email.  These offer all the same games you could get at fiat establishments but with better bonuses and most importantly – anonymous gameplay.

In this article, we’ll go over some of the biggest games we were expecting to come out in 2024, which are now officially delayed.

Abandoned 

Abandoned is a game created by Blue Box Studios and has been in the works since 2021.  What’s most interesting about this game is that it’s marketed as a project in which Hideo Kojima and Silent Hill will take part in some way.  That’s later been debunked, and the studio said that teasers to that effect have been a marketing tactic.

The game is now delayed and will be a PS5 exclusive when it comes out.  There’s no new release date, and the studio plans to create a PC version eventually.

Icarus

 Icarus is a long-awaited game by the original DayZ creator, Dean Hall.  It will be a sci-fi horror and survival game with a release date set for August 2024.  The game is set to come out in November of this year, but there’s no specific date.

The game will also have beta versions that will come out before the release, but there are no dates for those releases either.  The game combines elements of survival sims and first-person shooters, fitting neatly alongside other open-world exploration titles such as Ark: Survival Evolved and Conan Exiles.

Crimson Desert

 Crimson Desert is an open-world spin-off of the popular Black Desert Online game.  It’s set in the medieval fantasy world and uses its own game engine, BlackSpace Engine.  The first trailer for the game came out in 2020, and there was a planned release set for 2021, but the game has been delayed several times since then.

Crimson Desert is now arriving at an unspecified future date as Pearl Abyss works to add “new ideas” to make a “deeper, more enriching game.” The game will be available for all major platforms.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

 Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was one of its biggest games, and its remake was long awaited by many.  However, Ubisoft announced in February that the game will be delayed for an unspecified period.  They’ve also said that the remake will feel fresh while staying true to the spirit of the original version.

Chances are that the game will come out for all platforms, including PS4 and PS5 versions, but very little is known about the gameplay at this point, and no trailers or game footage are leaking out.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is a sequel to the game of the same name that came out in 2004.  It’s also a part of the wider World of Darkness series and based on a tabletop game.  The player will take the role of a vampire in modern-day Seattle.

The game has also chained developers during the production stage, which is pretty uncommon.  Chinese Room took over in 2023, and some believe that this fundamental change is what led to the delay or at least was part of the reasons behind it.

Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland

 The Division: Heartland is an upcoming free-to-play online multiplayer shooter game.  There have been a few delays so far.  It was moved from 2022 to March 2023, and now there’s no clear date for when the game will be held.

The game is produced by Red Storm, which previously worked on Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games.  It will be available for PS4/5, Xbox, and PC when it comes out.  Red Storm wasn’t involved with the production of the previous installments, which were massive hits.

Pragmata

 Pragmata is a mysterious game made by Capcom.  The game is described as Death Stranding-esque.  It was scheduled to arrive in 2022 and 2023, but now there’s another delay, this time without a clear date.  There’s also no clear reason for the delay other than the team saying they need the time to make a better game.

There have already been a few teasers and trailers out.  The setting appears to be a post-apocalyptic earth after a major calamitous event.  The planet seems to have contorted growths that have the ability to change and distort reality.  The moon also appears different from today, seeming to have a metallic sheen or covering.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl 

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl is the sequel to the much beloved STALKER series that was in the works for the past 15 years.  The game was put on hold after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 since it’s a product of a Ukrainian developer team.

Over the years, there have been many delays, scandals, and plans for the game, which have garnered much hype and anticipation.  The game was initially supposed to be released for Xbox, and there was an idea for a Microsoft edition as well, at least at some point.

The Settlers

 The Settlers was supposed to be a strategy game created by Ubisoft.  The game was famous for being delayed a few times, with each delay causing more interest in the game and its potential.  During the process, it got a new name – The Settlers New Allies.

It’s a real-time strategy city-building game.  There’s a Windows version now, and Ubisoft has delayed a console version a few times, with no clear date on when it will be released.  The game features three factions: the Elari, the Maru, and the Jorn.  Like in previous games in the series, the player starts with a skeleton crew, and the player must grow their settlements by collecting resources and expanding their town.

Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown

 Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is an upcoming racing video game developed by KT Racing and published by Nacon.  It’s the 21st game in the Test Drive Unlimited series.  The production has taken quite a long time since it started in 2016, when Nacon wasn’t even called that.

There was also a plan to release the game for all consoles, but after the last delay, the production company came out with the plans to take advantage of the latest consoles and their powerful hardware – PS5 and Xbox X. The game will feature a 1:1 recreation of Hong Kong Island as revealed in a trailer released on 6 July 2021 during Nacon Connect 2021.

Homeworld 3

 Homeworld 3 is an upcoming strategy game that Blackbird Interactive is developing.  The game was delayed a few times now and will come out in May of 2024.  It’s a sequel to the two previous games when it comes to the plot.

Homeworld 3 is a 3D real-time strategy game set in space.  At this point, it’s planned that the game comes out for Windows only, and there are no discussions about the console version.
