If you missed my last KU review, which happens to be Book 2 of the Corrupt Credence trilogy, Created In Chaos, you can find it here.

Hi guys. I am back with the final book in the Corrupt Credence trilogy, Honed In Havoc by Albany Walker. I was excited for it to go live on KU which it it did yesterday, and I finished the same day. My husband never fails to be amazed at how fast I devour books. I don’t know why, though. We have been married for a lifetime and it isn’t new.

I have to say, the women I meet in the Kindle Unlimited books I read are not a reflection of me as a person. They are ok with going with the flow and letting guys run things. They may run their mouths but they are pretty submissive. On the other hand, when I read Anita or Merry, they are deadly and take no crap. The guys I meet in the books are the very alpha males and in some books I read, questionable. It isn’t behavior I would condone in my own life, but I am addicted to reading it. I hang on to every word and inhale the book. I even read some of the darker stuff on KU but don’t review it here because I don’t think it is appropriate for the site. Like I said, It isn’t like I would let that happen in my life, but it’s fun to read and it doesn’t take too much thinking. Ok, on to Honed In Havoc.

Ok, so we know that Nova went back to her grandparent’s mansion. She isn’t happy about it but she did it to save the men she has come to love even if they can’t say it back. As she is there, it becomes even more clear that her grandparents are truly trying to use her and they see her as a broodmare for them. They don’t care about her goals and desires since they don’t fit with what they want. Nova is determined not to give in. She doesn’t want them to think they have won and they don’t understand she would rather live in poverty than do what they want with who they want. She isn’t given a chance to run though. Especially because her guard follows her everywhere and has keys to her room.

Lucian and Nox are losing their minds. They are sure she didn’t leave willingly but they didn’t see a fight either. They are desperate to get her back and are looking for an opportunity so they have to play the game a little longer. What’s weird is that Lucian appears calmer and more level-headed than Nox this time. Lucian is usually the hot-headed one. They are angry, but not at her. Well, I mean, they are but not at the same time. Does that make sense? They are angry because they feel they failed in protecting her but they made sure to fix the problem for when they get Nova back.

As I said earlier, I was eager for this book to come out. There were big positives and negatives to this book. I wish the whole marriage thing was expanded on more. It was glossed over and I was heartbroken. I like they was people were switched around but I wanted more. What can I say? I am greedy. Also, the resolution is anti-climatic in my opinion. That needed to be more. It got the job done but, man I was let down. However, the plot twists are great. I didn’t see them and I was thrilled. Although I was disappointed with the resolution, I liked the ending.

Have you read Honed In Havoc or any of the Corrupt Credence books? What about other books by Albany Walker? Let me know in the comments below. I gotta check more of her workout. I tend to get book recommendations from TikTok and forget to look more into it. Until next time, have fun storming the castle!
