The Crawleys and their retinue are coming to the big screen. Based on the television series of the same name which ran from 2010 to 2015-Downton Abbey the film will continue to follow the Crawley family and their downstairs counterparts into the late 1920s.

The big to-do happening around the Abbey is a visit from the King and Queen. With a royal visit in place, the Earl of Grantham enlists the help of eldest daughter Lady Mary to accommodate their majesties at Downtown Abbey. Her first order of business: convince retired head butler, Mr. Carson, to unretire and snap the staff into shape.
