It has been over a year since the final Gravity Falls episode aired, and I bet that some people are still not over it. But the often surreal adventures of Dipper and Mabel Pines, pre-teens on a summer vacation in the bizarre town of Gravity Falls, might return back to the hearts of the fans! Writer and creator of Gravity Falls, Ales Hirsch, are currently looking for fan artists who know how to do comics. Of course, it is possible that he is looking for artists for something else entirely, but this does seem to strongly suggest that some sort of Gravity Falls comic project is, if not officially in the works, but at least being considered. Which would be fantastic!
To celebrate this possible good news I give you the recipe for cookies in the shape of Mabel’s famous sweater! Otherwise, you can always use these cookies to eat away your sadness while you start to rewatch episode one for the millionth time 😉

What you’ll need:
420 gr Flour
½ teaspoon Baking powder
230 gr Butter
200 gr Sugar
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Pink food colouring/ Pink icing
Yellow icing
Purple icing
Green icing
Orange icing
Sweater cookie cutter or cardboard in the shape of a sweater

How to bake:
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set this bowl aside.
2. In a larger bowl cream the butter and the sugar together
3. Add the egg and the vanilla extract
4. From here on you can choose two different options. You can either make the cookies pink with the pink food colouring or you can keep them ‘white’ and put pink icing on top after you have baked them.
5. Carefully add the flour mixture into the rest and mix it together.
6. Mix it on medium high, until the dough is all combined together into a ball.
7. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
8. When the dough is ready to bake, preheat the oven to 175°C or 350 °F.
9. Line some baking sheets with parchment or silicone baking mats.
10. Roll the dough out to about half a centimetre thick. Cut out the sweater shaped with a cookie cutter or with a piece of cardboard and a knife, and place them onto the baking sheets.
11. Bake for about 10 minutes. After they are baked, let them cool completely.
12. If you haven’t coloured your cookies pink, then you can start decorating the cookies by piping the outside of the sweater with pink icing before filling the entire shape.
12. Use the coloured icing to pipe the star and rainbow onto the cookies. Let the icing set completely before serving!
