I’m very disappointed. I really wasn’t feeling this episode, and I don’t really know if I like the trajectory that the characters are going. I felt like this episode was super cringey in a bad way, and I couldn’t handle Maya and Anna’s attitudes. They really annoyed me, and I don’t think they were that funny.

Maya and Anna are still feeling the brunt of the whole three-way news coming out, and they’re not dealing with it very well. I get that they feel hurt, and it’s definitely rude that they’re still getting made fun of, but I’m not sure what Maya is doing. She thinks the next best thing, is to stalk Brant? She’s already annoyed him enough, and now, she thinks she’ll be able to make him her boyfriend? I’m so confused by her thought process. She decides that the best thing is to join the wrestling team, since Brant is on it, and she thinks she can get closer to him. Meanwhile, Anna is starting to rage about all the hurt she’s feeling, and even though, wrestling is an outlet to get your anger out in a more logical way. I think she went completely overboard. She thinks that she will become respected by everyone, and I really think she lost her way. She kind of became friends with some of the boys on the team, but then she forgot how to be friends with Maya.

We see in this episode, that Sam has become quite popular, since he’s joined the wrestling team, and now he feels like he has no time for his old friends. I think what Anna said to him about growing up, in the last episode, really put everything in perspective for him, but in the wrong way. I feel like it’s always the case where you have your friends that you hang out with, but once you start becoming popular, and getting attention from the popular kids, you think that your old friends aren’t worth it anymore. You’ve moved on to bigger and better things. Unfortunately, I think this is going to bite him in the butt sooner or later because sometimes those popular kids are no good. We already saw a glimpse of that, when Sam and the rest of the guys were hanging out in the weight room. Brant made a comment about Anna and Maya having smelly vaginas, and Sam decided to join in. This disappointed me because Maya and Anna were Sam’s friends, and now he’s totally disrespecting them. He even made things worse, when he and Maya were wrestling. This was probably my favorite part of the episode because he and Maya finally met face to face since he revealed that he was the guy she had been talking to on AIM, and there was a lot of tension between them. You could tell, that Sam had been hurt by Maya, and sadly, to get her back, he had to make that joke about her vagina.

After everything that had happened, Maya and Anna decide to take a gander at their nether regions and figure out if they did smell. I get that they are discovering their bodies, but it was kind of weird that they were on the phone together, figuring it out. Your body is such a personal thing, and sure, you can share that stuff with your friend if you want to, but I wouldn’t be investigating it, while on the phone with them. Also, the cat noises that Maya was making, and pretending it was coming from her vagina, was the strangest thing I’ve ever seen. Queue, the end of the episode, and during the end credits, they decided to have animated vaginas making noises, and I feel like I can never unsee that. I’m not sure why that was necessary, but it just weirded me out. I’m just hoping that the next episode is a million times better, and isn’t as strange as this one.
