Mika and The Witch’s Mountain follows the story of a young and aspiring witch, Mika. Using your broomstick, travel around an open world and deliver packages to friends and strangers alike.

Those that loved Studio Ghibli’s Kiki’s Delivery Service and want to play through a similar heartwarming experience may enjoy this game. The protagonist is Mika; an aspiring witch. With her half-formed powers, Mika aims to become the witch she’s always dreamed of being through making deliveries to the local townspeople at the bottom of the mountain. Each successful delivery comes with it’s own upgrades, helping Mika be the best witch that she can be.

In this cozy game, there is no combat. While magic is in the air and adventure is at the bottom of the mountain, players won’t have to worry about wand wielding or spell casting. Instead, this game focuses on the exploration feature – and the ability to fly wherever the player chooses. However, while there is no fighting, there is risk to flying needlessly and recklessly. Packages can be damaged easily by flying into rocks or trees, and townspeople won’t be happy if their precious cargo comes already broken.

Other Features Include:

  • A sandbox world to explore on broomstick, through flight.
  • A story that unfolds through the deliveries made.
  • A coming-of-age narrative about finding someone’s own way.
  • While the narrative is short, there are many secrets worth replaying for.

Mika and The Witch’s Mountain will be available on both Nintendo Switch and PC sometime this year. If interested, check out the trailer below:
