New York Comic-Con is on for in-person enjoyment! Last year, events like all the Comic-Con were canceled for an in-person event due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year the events are going on live and in-person with some extra safety measures. NYCC is October 7-10, 2021 at the Javits Center in New York City. If you are looking for the NYCC Funko releases, you’ve missed them already. They were dropped yesterday in a massive fail.
This year, NYCC has teamed up with CLEAR Health Pass and you need to clear your vaccination status with them ahead of time. Your prize will be a nifty bracelet for it. You can do this at the door too, bring your proof of vaccination and ID plus a mask. Masks are required unless you are eating or drinking. Children under 12 years old must have a negative covid test prior to entry. You can find out more about the entrance procedure here.
Lots of people attend Comic-Con for a chance to meet their favorite celeb from their favorite show. Or maybe your thing is the artists. Some people only go for the loot. Of course, Reedpop and NYCC have your back. Guest at NYCC includes Hayden Christensen, Thunder Rosa, John Cena, and my favorite Star Trek captain, Kate Mulgrew. They have panels such as Just Kiss Already, Graphic Novels Inspired by Real Life, and Sartorial Geek Fashion Fix. All of which I would attend. Artist Alley is there with Artists like Beverly LA, Ethan M. Aldridge, and ToasterKiwi. Artist Alley is probably my favorite place in all of the Comic Cons. Zenescope, GeekOrthodox, and J&J Collectibles will be there with their wares.
All in all, it seems like a great time. I wish I would get to be there but alas, it is across the country from me. Are you going to attend? Will you be going online or in person? What are you looking forward to? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time…
