Welcome to another round of top furry art picks! Each week is always exciting –  you never quite know what you’re going to run into.

There were some great pieces this week and to be honest, it was difficult making some top pick choices on the day-to-day. But I think you’ll like what I’ve come up with this week. Let’s get to it!

7. Ecco Skull

Are skull-wearing anthros going to become a thing on this series now? We’ve already got Pokemon as a recurring theme on here so why not, the more the merrier!

Kicking things off is this fearsome critter drawn as a commission by Inksoda. They may not be happy with their painting style but I think they did just fine. There’s a lot of detail in that fur, I love the dangerous glow of the red eye, and the dripping saliva in their maw makes you almost hear the roar of the creature.

6. Good Company

Coming in at no. 6 is this really cute piece by Coyrin. I get the feeling that there’s a story behind this or those blue spirits are from something, but I just can’t put my finger on it.

This piece is just a joy to look at. The heavy blues and the glow of the creatures give off a nice light and lend a sense of spirituality to the piece. I also like how each of the critters are all doing something different – take a look! At the very least they all have different expressions.

5. The Two Sides of Witch Devy

Always beware the dark side! Blazitasticos did this pretty neat light/dark side of this with goat character.

Personally, I’m more fond of the dark side as those glowing purple-tipped horns and glowing purple eyes are cooler looking. Also, you gotta love that evil smirk the dark side gives.

Plus with how little changes between the two it gives the implication that you never know when they’re gonna switch on you. Don’t invoke this witch’s bad side!

4. Incubus Vintage

It seems this week’s attracted spirits and magic of all sorts! Coming in at the no. 4 spot is this sensual incubus that’s also got shades of pink and purple – I guess the bad guys just like those colors this week!

This is just a really hot (hah!) picture to look at – check out those flames in the background. The artist also did great with making the leather look nice, shiny, and reflective. Plus the incubus itself is nice to look at as well, and that’s always a bonus.

Watch out for that solar eclipse though.

3. Rogue Wolf

The neon lights return for this awesome no. 3 pic by LuckySquid. Y’know now that I think about it, blue seems to be another recurring color for this week.

There’s just a lot going on here visually and colorwise that I really love. Even the character’s clothing has some glowing bits! And that graffiti in the background is nice as well. It’s quite the eye-catching piece! And speaking of eye-catching…

2. Shock the System

Battling for the number 2 spot is this electrifying piece by Kivwolf. This one is definately a shock to the senses with it’s shocking imagery and contrasting colors.

It’s just a really fun piece to look at – you’ve got posing, you’ve got bright, splashy special effects that curve and bend and wind all around, and there’s more eye-catching bright colors. It’s a fantastic piece and a very well done job by Kivwolf.

And, the #1 piece for this week is…

1. Springtime

Taking the number 1 spot this week is this rather chill but still great piece by Skizm.

While not quite as bright and neon-lit as some of the other pieces, this one is still great if not for the style of the piece itself. I also really dig the character designs and their costumes. Color-wise it’s also a great piece, and it’s nice to have something that’s a little softer on the eyes.

And of course, you have the cherry blossoms falling in the wind. Always a nice touch. Great job and congratulations Skizm! You are the winner for this week!

And that just about does it for this week. I hope you’ve found some new great pieces and some great artists to follow as well. I know I have!

Next week there’ll of course be more art, but a couple changes to the rules. First, art reposted by curation accounts will be fine as long as they list the artist and I’m able to actually find the original piece on the artist’s page.

In addition, I’m not restricting things to “recent” pics. If I’m out and about and I see say, a retweeted pic or a pic posted in a chat and I like it then it’s eligible. I know artists tend to get randomly discovered and retweeted or they’ll retweet/repost their old art, so why exclude it?

Let’s see how this changes things for next week! The fluff continues and…just remember. You’re on your own for lint rollers!
