Happy Tuesday everyone and boy is it a happy one. I absolutely forgot Uncut Gems was coming out this week but it is which is great because that was one of the best movies of 2019, just behind Parasite for me. Yeah, so, Uncut Gems is the pick of the week.

Adam Sandler was snubbed this year at the Oscars, he didn’t even get a nomination for the performance of his career. The Sandman is absolutely electric in this movie as Harold Ratner, you’ll forget he is the goddamn waterboy. And the Sadfie Brothers, holy crap. These guys know how to direct. Uncut Gems is an anxiety-fueled roller coaster. I don’t have anxiety but for the entire run of the film, I felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest I was so on edge. This is an incredibly stressful movie but in a good way, of course.
