Spoilers will be talked about below, so please be sure to watch the latest episode before reading on! This review is based off of the dub version of Super that currently airs on Toonami.
With Top finally achieving the power of a Destroyer God, things are looking bleak for Frieza, 17, Goku and Vegeta. Can Universe 7 rally against the powerful Top, eliminate him and still have enough left to take on Jiren himself? Well, there’s only one way to find out, lets get into the review!
Episode 126 actually doesn’t start right where the previous episode ended, instead it actually begins five whole minutes before that episode concluded. We pick up with Frieza at the mercy of Top’s Destroyer power, and 17 taking the fight against the powerful Pride Trooper in a quick overview. Eventually though it becomes a cat and mouse game between Top and 17, as 17 tries to hide and outrun Top for as long as he can. Sadly, Top is just way too stronger and is able to easily clear out anything that 17 tosses at him. Frieza even comes back to help 17, but is nothing against Top after the trashing he took previously.

As luck would have it though, this fight merges into the fight that Goku and Vegeta are having against Jiren. Things get dicey from here as Goku is still going against Jiren but Vegeta instead has to deal with Top. Thankfully though, Vegeta’s own power boost of Super Saiyan Blue Evolved is more then enough to take on Top’s Destroyer power. So much so, that they are nearly even but thanks to Top’s Destroyer aura that eats up anything fired at him, nothing phases him. Vegeta then digs deep into his resolve to find an even stronger power. He begins to charge up and wraps himself and everything around him into a bright yellow aura. He’s actually trying to self-destruct, exactly like he did all those many years ago against Majin Buu.

This is enough to actually overpower Top so much so, that Top is instantly eliminated out of the tournament! But what about Vegeta and is he still alive? Yes, yes he is! Vegeta’s new Super Saiyan Blue Evolved form is actually strong enough that he’s able to safely detonate his most destructive attack ever without the cost of his life. However, the big draw back is that he loses his energy and is reverted back to normal.

The episode then ends with Jiren, saying that Top was pathetic losing with so much power much to the shock of almost everyone as he finally powers up as Goku, Vegeta and 17 go charging at him.
I’ll be the first to admit that that weird replay of last week’s final few minutes in this week’s first opening minutes was a bit weird, I had to check if I was watching the actual right episode. Once the episode proceeded as normally, then everything was fine. The most questionable thing I have to say though is 17 trying to burry Top under a mound of rubble, like that was enough to stop him at all after it was already proven in the previous episode that anything that touches Top is instantly destroyed if he want’s it to be. Other then that it was an awesome episode with that call back to the Majin Buu saga and Vegeta gaining a bit more character to himself when it comes to his reason for fighting.
