Scoob Is Coming Next Year!

Scoob is the new animated Scooby-Doo movie coming to the big screen. It is slated to come out May 15th, 2020. I absolutely LOVE Scooby-Doo! I also love many of the other Hanna Barbera cartoons and they will be making apperances in the new movie. The premise of the movie is that we get to go back to when it all began and get to see how Mystery Inc. came to be. Also Scooby and the gang along with other Hanna Barbera characters must save the Hanna Barbera universe from Dick Dastardly.

So many big stars are going to voice the characters. The list isn’t complete yet but here’s what I have. Amanda Seyfried and McKenna Grace will voice Daphne. Zac Efron will be the older Fred. Will Forte and Iain Armitage will voice Shaggy. I am honestly upset that Matthew Lillard will not be voicing the older Shaggy. Gina Rodriguez will be voicing the older Velma. Frank Welker will be voicing Scooby-Doo. Tracy Morgan will voice Captain Caveman. Mark Wahlberg will be Blue Falcon and Ken Jeong will be Dinomutt aka Wonder Dog. Jason Issacs will be voicing Dick Dastardly. That isn’t even all the cast!

I am so stoked I can hardly contain it. My kids and husband are excited too. I may even let them skip school to let them see it! Are you a Scooby fan and are excited to watch this? Let me know in the comments below. Remember, Scoob is due out May 15th, 2020. Til next week…

I am a wife, mother, writer and nerd. My dad cultivated my love of sci-fi as a child and I haven’t looked back since. I love myth and magic. I am an avid reader and love TV and movies. I love the movies Willow and Legend and the Star Trek ones both old and new. Laurell K. Hamilton, who writes the Anita Blake and Merry Gentry series, and Jim Butcher, who writes the Harry Dresden series, are probably my top two favorite authors. I love learning and writing about mythology and there is so much out there to learn, see and imagine. Come fly away with me.
