Sundance this year had many amazing new movies but one that stood out even after the initial hype has been Eighth Grade directed by Bo Burnham.  The film follows a young girl in eighth grade and shows a very true story about what life is like in this age for people of all ages.  Elsie Fisher stars as Kayla a shy young girl in an age of social media.  The film is set the last two weeks of middle school and disaster ensures.

Bo Burnham is a writer, actor, and comedian.  He started his success on YouTube and has released three comedy specials.  His unique ability to talk about serious issues while making the audience laugh makes both his show Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous, and his specials interesting to watch.  Eighth Grade will be released in theaters across the US in July and there have already been talks of him getting an Oscar.
