We are about to be blessed with (hopefully) the first of many women-led heist movies.
That’s right, it’s now June which means in just a few days, Ocean’s 8 will be in theaters and I will have seen it 12ish times.
Sandra Bullock plays Debbie Ocean, Danny’s sister, who has just gotten out of jail and wants to go back to doing what she’s good at, robbing the MET.
She recruits career badasses Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, Rihanna, Sarah Paulson and Helena Bonham Carter to literally take the jewels off of Anne Hathaway’s neck.
While the first poster was problematic and this second one is a Photoshop 101 class project fail, the trailer below is a much more promising representation of the movie, as are the individual character posters above.
