Horror fans rejoice! Only 5 more months until we all get to return to Haddonfield and are once again together with Laurie Strode as she once again faces the evil Michael Myers. The movie is set to be released October 19th, just in time for my favorite holiday.

The synopsis of the new movie is:
Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
Judy Greer will be coming on as Laurie’s daughter, Karen, and Andi Matichak will be playing Karen’s daughter, Allyson. The cast will also feature Will Patton, Miles Robbins, and Nick Castle returning as Michael Myers.
The movie is being directed by David Gordon Green and was written by Green, Jeff Fradley, and Danny McBride. Blumhouse is producing the movie. Another bit of exciting news, the original director, Master of Horror John Carpenter will be doing the music for this movie.

The latest bit of news is that the producer, Jason Blum, has said that a trailer should be expected to pop up sometime in early June, so be sure to keep an eye out for it within the next couple of weeks. Once it is out, let me know what you think so far. You can find my reaction on Twitter @NilesHougaboom. As always be sure to check out The Game of Nerds for your other nerdy needs.
