We always knew Jake & Amy would have a bomb wedding…we just didn’t expect a bomb to be AT their wedding!

A disgruntled and Amy-obsessed arrestee planted a bomb in the air vents at Jake and Amy’s venue, so the team spent the whole day dealing with similar wedding related catastrophes before just deciding to call the whole thing off. Then, because Jake was in peak romantic mode this whole episode, he told Amy that he’d marry her anywhere, anytime. Even at the top of the Empire State Building during a King Kong attack. So, thanks to Charles’ Martha Stewart-like wedding prep skills, the pair got married outside the 99 surrounded by twinkling lights and flashing cop cars. They each said their own vows and everyone (including *throwback* Milipnos [Fred Armisen]) cried…me too! It was just…so filled with love! Amy also expressed how it doesn’t matter that life is unpredictable, as long as you’re surrounded by the right people.

This quote led Holt to gather the courage to open the email from the mayor stating whether or not he got the job as commissioner. We were (not) supposed to know what it said by the look on his face. I guess we’ll have to wait until it’s premiere on NBC (THANK YOU!) to find out which face he was making…

Another fun twist was my Jane The Virgin queen Gina Rodriguez guest starring as Terry and Rosa’s Lyft driver…and Rosa’s new potential love interest. I don’t exactly know how Gina will be able to continue to guest star with her busy schedule, but it was fun to see her pop up, even if for a scene or two.

So that brings us to the end of another fantastic Brooklyn Nine-Nine season, and thankfully, it’s not the last. I don’t think any of us are ready to say goodbye to the quirky cast of the 99!
