Everybody welcome back to the sixth episode of MHA. Last episode we had some really nice progression and solid introductions to some characters, but we got let off on a huge cliffhanger. We have all wondered what Tokoyami’s quirk would be like during the night time, and this is the episode we see first hand Dark Shadow’s unrelenting power.

As Shoji and Midoriya stand in fear of what they see in front of them, Midoriya asks the question of how Dark Shadow was able to become this way. Shoji explains after Mandalay relayed her message of villains attacking U.A. students, him and Tokoyami were on high alert. All of a sudden, the two were attacked by a villain (Moonfish). A giant blade was going straight towards Tokoyami until Shoji was able to take the hit for him, severing one of his Dupliarms. Though the injury seems serious, Shoji is able to regrow his limbs over time, so else better to get their arm chopped off. But Tokoyami couldn’t resist getting mad over the sight of his friend being in pain. The combination of righteousness, regret, and pure rage stockpiled making Dark Shadow a terrifying force of destruction.

As Dark Shadow continues to destroy every object in sight, Tokoyami pleads for the two to just leave him and run to safety. He also pleads Dark Shadow to calm down. Shoji starts to remember Dark Shadow’s weakness to light, and that maybe if they lead it to camp, the light source will make it weak enough for Tokoyami to take the reigns again. Shoji tells Midoriya he can’t just leave his friend in his time of need, and that if he still wants to go and protect Bakugo, he will understand and try to distract Dark Shadow. Midoriya thinks leading it to camp is not a viable strategy being the camp is so far away, but Shoji is prepared to take what ever risks he must. Shoji gives Midoriya two decisions: help him save Tokoyami, or go and save Bakugo.

Back with Bakugo and Todoroki, they are still enduring a flurry of long range blade attacks from Moonfish. Bakugo wants to use his explosions so badly, but Todoroki refuses to let him being the forest will catch in flames and it will also impair Todoroki’s vision. As they stand there, a huge explosion goes off in the distance. Bakugo, Todoroki, and even Moonfish look to see the cause of the collision. In a dead sprint is Shoji with Midoriya on his back, being chased by Dark Shadow! Shoji uses his dupliarms to create snapping sounds that triggers Dark Shadow into attacking the sounds, but not the two! Shoji begs for either Todoroki or Bakugo to give them some light to calm it down. Midoriya’s plan is to not only save Tokoyami, but find Bakugo also.

But, Moonfish is not going to stand idly. As he starts to attack, claiming Dark Shadow is “stealing his precious meat”, Dark Shadow calls the villain an insignificant bug, and brings Moonfish down in one false swoop! As Dark Shadow goes to attack the U.A. students next, Bakugo and Todoroki come to Tokoyami’s side with their luminescent quirks in hand. Finally giving him control of Dark Shadow. Bakugo then gloats that he is a terrible match up for Tokoyami, referencing their fight in the sports festival. Tokoyami apologizes for his immaturity and lack of control for his quirk, but Shoji reassured him, telling him that they have to move on. There are more important matter to attend to. Midoriya suggests they all stick together to protect Bakugo and cut through the woods to make back to camp, safe with pro heroes like Aizawa and Vlad King. Bakugo of course does not like his role as the damsel in distress.

We now get to see what Uraraka and Tsu have been up against this whole time, Toga. Uraraka already has a pretty big gash in her arms from Toga’s knife, but seems to be in stable condition. Toga states how the blood from the knife wound isn’t enough. She starts to rush at the girls will knife and syringe in hands! Tsu grabs Uraraka with her tongue and flings her in the air, telling her to get back to camp. Togo then cuts Tsu’s tongue, leaving a pretty nasty wound. As Tsu tries to escape, Toga throws her knife and pins her to a tree! As Toga gets closer and closer to Tsu, Uraraka runs to come and save her. Toga turns around and lunges her knife right at Uraraka. This triggers Uraraka’s combat training with Gunhead, and Uraraka is able to take Togo down to the grown and disarm her all in swift movement!

Uraraka asks if Tsu can restrain Toga with her tongue, but with her tongue being wounded, Tsu asks to wait for just a second. Toga starts to level with Uraraka, saying that she definitely has a crush on someone. This gets her attention. She says how she bets that she wants to be just like that special person. Uraraka gets flashbacks of the sports festival, out right saying that she will win and be just like Deku. Toga succeeds in distracting Uraraka, leaving her unaware that she has grabbed her syringe and stuck in right into Uraraka’s thigh! The machine on Toga’s back begins to pump blood out of her, and it stores itself on the backpack worn by Toga. Just in time, Midoriya’s team has arrived to save them!

Toga is released from Uraraka’s grip and begins to flee, but as she leaves, she is mesmerized by Midoriya. She makes her exit and Tsu and Uraraka join the group. Midorya explains their plan of protecting Bakugo, but Tsu makes a point that Bakugo isn’t even around them. They look everywhere and it seems Bakugo and Tokoyami are missing! Then, a figure in a long tan coat begins to explain how him and the villains will make Bakugo’s talents be put to good use and not be wasted in a hero course, as he twirls a marble between his fingers.

Midoriya orders the man to give back Bakugo this instant, but the man tells the students that Bakugo is not owned by anyone. And that he should be put down a path that meets his ideals. This was the last straw for Todoroki, and he sends a huge ice patch towards the villain. But the mysterious man dodges it with ease, he is way too fast. Shoji also makes it noticed that Tokoyami is gone as well. There the mysterious man stands with two marbles. The man named Mr. Compress makes his exit with Tokoyami and Bakugo and tells the rest of the Vanguard action squad that he has captured Bakugo and is ready to meet up for a final battle. The U.A. students won’t give up, and begin to chase after the villain.

On the other side of the camp is Dabi and Twice, going over the next phase of their team’s plans. Dabi is pleased Mr. Compress was able to come through. Their rally point was supposed to be very well hidden inside the gas and the flames, but since the gas gave way early, things did’nt really go according to plan. As they analyze their next step, we see very close by to them poor Aoyama frozen in fear with a unconsious Jirou and Hagakure behind a bush. As he peaks around the bush to look at the villains, he sees Dabi looking right in his direction. Aoyama retracts quickly, knowing Dabi surely must have seen him. As Dabi begins to further investigate, Twice distracts him and asks if he should be calling his nomu back. Uh, Dabi has a freaking nomu?! Apparently the nomu was made for Dabi by Shigaraki, and will only answer to his call. So we now see the nomu is currently giving chase to Class 1-B student Awase and Yaoyorozu!

Awase is just able to drag a motionless Yaoyorozu. The nomu is too close now, they are sure to be caught with Yaoyorozu’s condition. The nomu cocks back it’s fists, pointed by a running drill and chainsaw, and begins to attack Awase and Yaoyorozu. Awase apologizes for not being able to do enough. But as their eyes close, the whirring sound of the chainsaw and drill stop. The nomu turns around a walks away from them. Dabi called back his nomu just in time for the two to leave without harm. Yaoyorozu begins to create a sort of tracking device and tells Awase to use his welding quirk to quickly attach the tracking device to the nomu to at least give the students some type of advantage.

Now we get to the Pussycats, who have successfully detained the villains Magne and Spinner! Spinner is very distraught about being defeated, and vows to purge the fake heroes and Iida to avenge the name of Hero Killer Stain. Mandalay blows off his words and begins to ask what Spinner’s quirk is anyway. Spinner refuses to answer. Then a familiar voice makes himself heard, it’s Kurogiri! The villain’s warp gate!

The students are still giving chase to Mr. Compress and they begin to realize there is no way of catching the villain on foot. Midoriya thinks hard enough and creates a solution! Use Uraraka’s anti gravity to make himself, Shoji, and Todoroki super light. And use Tsu’s tongue to launch the three off like a giant bullet. We see that villains like Dabi, Twice, and Toga have all met up so far at the rally point, but as they arrive, the see Mr. Compress falling to the ground, and our heroes giving him the smack down! But they have now led themselves into an even bigger trouble.

I swear this episode was not as long as usual! Due to the change of pace and focus, the episode ended way too soon! Looks like next time we will see everybody having an all out brawl against the villains. Until then everybody! Plus Ultra!
