🎶 It’s the sexy time to say goodbye song, the sexy time to say goodbye, it’s a sexy time to say goodbye, this is going to be really hard 🎶

We’ve unofficially known this was coming since the third season finale of CEG, but last week it was officially confirmed by Rachel, Aline, and the CW bosses and their upfront presentations.

Crazy Ex has been a breath of fresh air to network TV and it’s definitely going to be a tough blow to lose this unique voice and this unique perspective on the TV landscape. But hopefully this is the thing that let’s this wonderful cast and creatives thrive.

They get to put all their energy into one final season, do it exactly how they want it, and then go on to do bigger and better things. Donna Lynne Champlin can take Broadway by storm once again, Vella Lovell can keep stealing scenes in various indie movies, Vincent Rodriguez III can break down even more barriers and be the change in terms of asian representation in media, and Gabrielle Ruiz can hopefully go on to star in the movie version of In The Heights (the rights to which were just won by Warner Bros.)

Aline and Rachel have always said that this show was supposed to be 4 years, 4 acts, and it’s great that they get to finish their story on their terms, and that they dragging it out for the sake of being on the air (cough cough so many shows cough).

The show will be back in the Fall TV season, on Fridays at 9pm. One hour later than their typical time-slot, which would allow them to be slightly filthier…Period Sex Reprise anyone?

*whispers* what are the odds of Santino Fontana coming back for one final season and or 5 episodes?
