Lost in Space Synopsis

The Robinson family crash-lands on an alien planet during a pioneering mission to establish a human colony far from Earth. Separated from the rest of the settlers, the Robinsons must learn to survive among unfamiliar and hidden dangers. But survival isn’t their only concern; they’re lost in space and must find a way to escape the planet and return home.

This ten-episode remake of Lost in Space is being created by Matt Sazama  and Burk Sharpless, both of who played important roles in the development of the recent 2017 Power Rangers movie. The star cast includes Mina Sundwall, Molly ParkerToby Stephens, Parker Posey, Maxwell Jenkins, Taylor Russell, and Ignacia Serricchio.

The Original

The original Lost in Space (1965) was written and produced by Irwin Allen, who is still credited as a creative contributor for this latest rendition. It was three seasons long, with a total of 83 episodes.
