Alison got emotional when discussing the unfair amount of stress women experience when striving toward an inflated standard of success. This moment hit really close to home and I’m glad it was included in the final cut because seeing women react to women’s issues is always fucking necessary.
Don’t worry though, she made sure to remind everyone that Margaret Sanger was a eugenicist and Martin Luther King, Jr. had affairs. No one’s perfect, but all’s well.

Seeing Abbi Jacobson as a Gloria Steinem made me SO HAPPY. I don’t think I could have asked for anyone better for that role. But to also see Jane Krakowski as a Bunny Mom? I lost my mind, y’all.

And finally, my favorite moment of the episode. Derek got teary-eyed when talking about how Katie has stood her ground as a woman in a sports television position. He looked so proud of her and it made my heart melt. Naturally, she asked for someone else to take his place for the last few seconds of the episode. Way to bring the moment back to what the show is all about, Katie!
