Sensual and savage, Lorraine Broughton is the most elite spy in MI6, an agent who’s willing to use all of her lethal skills to stay alive during an impossible mission. With the Berlin Wall about to fall, she travels into the heart of the city to retrieve a priceless dossier and take down a ruthless espionage ring. Once there, she teams up with an embedded station chief to navigate her way through the deadliest game of spies. – Focus Features

Atomic Blonde is a blast and Charlize Theron is a badass. This is movie is based on a graphic novel titled The Coldest City and was directed by David Leitch the co-director of the first John Wick and director of the highly anticipated Deadpool 2. Having seen Atomic Blonde, I have no worries regarding Deadpool 2. This movie did receive some mixed reviews but I believe the marketing is to blame. The marketing for Atomic Blonde heavily implied that this film was going to be a “Lady John Wick,” which it was not. The fact that the co-director of John Wick was behind the film didn’t help. Atomic Blonde does have some John Wickesque action, which is incredible but this film is much more a spy thriller. Atomic Blonde has a star studded cast, a believable, authentic setting and some spectacular stunt work. This movie is a must watch for action thriller fans.
