It’s been 15 very long months since Broad City ended its 3rd season on a high note, and, while a lot has happened in the intervening year, season 4 is almost here and it looks to be as good as ever!

Stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer previewed the 4th season this week with dual panels at San Diego Comic-Con and the Television Critics Association’s TCA 2017 discussing, among other things, an incredible list of guest stars, Val’s origin story, and Trump. Fans at SDCC were even treated to a preview of the first episode.

While us mortals didn’t get a chance to see the episode, we did get some hints about the direction of the show in the coming season, including Abbi’s unemployment and Ilana’s visit to a sex therapist (turns out she hasn’t been in the mood since election day.) Abbi and Ilana also discussed their decision to bleep any mention of Donald Trump’s name, saying during their TCA17 panel: “We just didn’t want to share airtime. He’s got enough of that.… It’s just a different kind of joke. It’s like an audio joke.”

What else do we have to look forward to? Visits from stars such as Fran Dresher, Wanda Sykes, Shania Twain and Ru Paul! Plus, we’ll finally learn how Abbi and Ilana met!

Broad City returns to Comedy Central on September 13 and we’ll be covering the show all season long!
