You read that right. Nathan Fillion – the star of beloved shows such as Firefly, Castle, and nerd cult favorite Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, among countless others – has been confirmed to have landed a role in the upcoming second season of Netflix’s adaptation of Lemony Snicket novels.

It has yet to be confirmed what role Fillion will be portraying. (Given the show’s tendency to break the fourth wall and reference other concepts of nerd culture…does anyone else hope for a Dr. Horrible reference, given that Neil Patrick Harris – Dr. Horrible himself – is one of the stars Fillion will be acting alongside?)

Additionally, several new cast members for the upcoming season have been announced. While their roles have not yet been confirmed, Tony Hale, Sara Rue, Lucy Punch, and Roger Bart, are all confirmed to appear once Season 2 hits the digital-streaming screen.
