Showtime has kept most of the details and footage from the new series a secret, but they have released several new teaser trailers in which we see some old (and new) faces. Don’t expect any revelations about the plot from these brief trailers. The first one doesn’t even have dialogue! But if you’re as excited as I am for the new episodes, you’ll take whatever you can get.

Trailer #1: Some Familiar Faces 25 Years Later

Trailer #2: It Is Happening Again

We do have some new info courtesy of a recent Vanity Fair article: you should definitely watch (or rewatch) the 1992 prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me before the new series begins. David Lynch confirmed that the film is very important to understanding the new season, which leads me to believe that the Black Lodge mythology will play a major part in the revival.

Showtime has also released a 15-minute featurette, “Twin Peaks: The Phenomenon,” in which the cast and crew discuss the show and its impact, including the fandom it spawned.

The revival premieres on Showtime on Sunday, May 21st at 9 P.M. EST, when the first two hours of the 18-part series will air.
