COD Black Ops 3 Final DLC: Salvation!

Hey guys! In lieu of a TGON Plays this week, I bring to you the fourth and final map pack, Salvation. I got IMMENSELY excited when I saw the maps Call Of Duty was releasing, and became even more ecstatic after playing them. There are a couple of remakes in this DLC as well, so be sure to prepare from some nostalgia. That being said, and without further ado, let’s jump right in!

We’ll start this off with Micro. Miniaturized to be smaller than flies, (Or perhaps everything around them was simply enlarged,) soldiers go to battle on a giant picnic table. There are kegs to run around, giant plates of pastries and hot dogs, and flies buzzing and moving all over the map. The flies are most distracting, since they movie and it’s easy to mistake for enemy soldiers. Regardless, It’s not my favorite in the pack, but it definitely takes a close second.

Next we have Outlaw! A re-imagined version of Black Ops 2′s Standoff, which seems to be a fan favorite among players, soldiers go toe-to-toe in a town reminiscent of the old west. From the saloon to the apothecary, to the rumble of trains thundering by in the background, this has to be my favorite remake of all the map pack releases.

Next on the list is Rupture. Now, this map is a remake of Call Of Duty: World at War’s Outskirts, but I’ve never played that, so let’s go purely off of an unbiased opinion shall we? This map is the epitome of what Black Ops 3 tries to achieve in their futuristic style. It’s a super high-tech facility that looks to be repairing the atmosphere surrounding the Earth.

Last on the multiplayer list is Citadel. THIS was by far my favorite map in this set. It basically looks like Hogwarts if Slytherin had reigned supreme, and since I’m a Slytherin…well it’s just a pleasing sight. Among the many terrifyingly awesome snake statues are the scattered remains of medieval soldiers that, according to the Call of Duty website, had tried and failed previously to trespass the castle. It’s beautiful, it’s desolate, it’s…well it screams Team Slytherin, that’s all I’m sayin’.

Now, as per usual I don’t play Zombies, but by that image alone, this map looks RIDICULOUS. But I’ve taken the description of the final zombies map, Revelations, directly from the Call Of Duty website: “ The Origins Characters have taken an epic journey through space and time with all of their struggles leading to this very moment. In Revelations – the final chapter of the Zombies experience – Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai finally come face-to-face with the mysterious Doctor Monty in the house. Confronted by an ancient evil, our heroes must fight the zombie horde once more in the final battle to save their immortal souls…”

How freaking fantastic does that sound?! You can check out the Call of Duty website Here. and if you haven’t downloaded these maps yet, do it! Get on it and kick some butt!

Thanks for reading!
