Finals week is upon me, and it is during this time that I feel I need the most comfort. Shows and video games that bring me joy are the top priority for self-care. One of the shows that brings me the most joy is Game Changer.

The Premise

Game Changer is a game show in which every episode is different. The players know nothing about what they will be doing or the rules. It is up to the players to figure out what game they are playing. It is hosted by Sam Reich of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and played by three College Humor cast members. The games range from a simple “Sam Says” game to more elaborate Survivor-themed episodes. Overall, there is something for every viewer to love!

Thoughts

I initially subscribed to DropOut.tv to watch Dimension 20. However, I have found a different kind of love for Game Changer. Each episode has left me laughing and excited for more. However, one particular episode sent me running to my computer to share with you. That is the “Official Cast Recording.” In this episode, players were tasked with improvising a musical with nothing more than single sentence prompts. There is so much to love about this episode, from the phenomenal singing of the contestants to their quick wit. Zeke Nicholson, Zach Reino, Jess McKenna, and Scott Passarella killed it. I had chills and totally geeked out the whole time. In the final episode wrap-up, Reich shared a clip of their excitement during the episode, and I cannot say that mine was any different.

Overall, Game Changer is a fun show, plain and simple. The “Noise Boys” episodes featuring Brennan Lee Mulligan, Zac Oyama, and Josh Ruben are also a big hit. In this series, the contestants are tasked with improvising sounds based on a prompt. These fellas know what they are doing and always get a laugh out of me. In the end, I highly recommend Game Changer for anyone looking to sit down, relax, and have a good time.
