A few months back Fugitive Toys had their monthly F Box come out shortly after San Diego Comic Con. The public didn’t behave with nasty threats towards the company and it’s employees. As any responsible profession would do they are looking out for the employees and cancelled the F-Box. Well Fugitive Toys shocked everyone last week and went live with the highly anticipated box once again. A box that usually would be available for only 7-10 minutes lasted considerably longer, my theory is they knew for awhile they were going to make this box, rumor has it that this will be a one off and not out on the market again regularly, and that Funko asked them to make this box to help promote one of their items. Which one exactly I do not know. So let’s see what was in this box, the cost was $32 and change shipped. The talk is that 2000 boxes were made, with 50 of them being special boxes with over 5lb of stuff. I did not receive the special box or haven’t seen one updated but I have seen the shipping information for those. Without further adieu here is the theme of the box with contents.
Item 1 Vampire Teddy pocket pop key chain from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Totally follows along with the theme, I still have yet to watch the movie all the way. Still epic fail for me, the second hand market on this is around $11 currently. Looks cool, I don’t really use these but they do look nice.
Next up goes with the horror theme, a Jason Dorbz figure. I admit I haven’t ever gotten into Dorbz and probably won’t, but he doesn’t look awful, and Jason is very cool, second hand market on him is currently around $8.
Item three is a great item, sadly it wasn’t meant for adults as it is not something that fits on my head. Oh well it is for fun and decoration I suppose. 🙁 It is a black Santa Hat that says Bah-Humbug, it is all over the board price wise so let’s settle at $9!
With the 3 smaller items in the mystery box we are around $28, so the next two are all bonus from the value standpoint. Next up is an exclusive Funko Pop! to Fugitive Toys (and Popcultcha if ordering in Australia) of zombie Ed from the movie Shaun of the Dead. If you haven’t watched that you need to. Right now the current value is around $29 on the second hand market, with the influx of them to the market I can see the value moving to around $25. This is a very awesome looking piece.
The last item was the big score! It is perfect for this time of year, and what makes this score extra fantastic is it is a current vaulted Funko Pop! But that might change as why they have so many? Whatever the case may be, I am happy to have obtained Santa Claus! Santa’s value is infinity but this pop’s value is around $31 which nearly covers the whole cost in itself.
As I’ve stated before if you are a lover of Funko Pop! products, and or of mystery boxes if you ever have a chance to score a Fugitive Toys F Box you have to jump on that opportunity even if you are not 100% in love with the theme, you always get great value and worst case you have great trade bait or gifts for family and friends for the future.
