Ready Player One was an amazing surprise I was not expecting. Andy received this book in his Lootcrate box and automatically handed it to me since he is not a “reader”. After reading two John Green books back to back, this was something out of this world and completely different. This story is set in the far future where the Earth is pretty much destroyed. Instead of living in the real world, there is a virtual utopia called OASIS that people can hook up too. Wade Watts, teen pop culture buff, is on a mission to crack Holliday’s game to acquire his mega fortune. Wade’s ventures through OASIS answering crazy 80′s trivia to gain points to beat out other players. Along the way, the government is attempting to stop him and he makes some crazy friends. I honestly, couldn’t put this book down. I can’t wait for Ernest Cline’s newest book, Armada!
